Strategy 1.1: Strengthen the practice management landscape in St. Louis City and County.
Strategy 1.2: Promote provider use of sex-positive, inclusive, culturally-competent, trauma-informed, and non-judgmental patient counseling approaches and utilize protective factors as a guide for care.
Strategy 1.3: Increase funding for sexual health and wellbeing.
Strategy 1.4: Convene Community Advisory Boards (CABs).
Strategy 1.5: Promote the use of community health workers for sexual health and wellbeing.
Strategy 2.1: Create a MO State Congenital Syphilis Case Review Board (CSRB) to review medical records of all active syphilis cases in the St. Louis Region to determine intervention points.
Strategy 2.2: Develop legislation at the state level to mandate testing of pregnant women for syphilis at specific points (per STIRR’s guidelines).
Strategy 3.1: Promote STI testing/treatment services to populations which are disproportionately impacted by stigma/discrimination barriers.
Strategy 3.2: Promote PrEP and PEP.
Strategy 3.3: Support comprehensive sexual health education in schools.
Strategy 3.4: Improve access and availability of barrier methods.
Strategy 3.5: Support and invest in efforts to reform Missouri’s HIV and viral hepatitis criminal law.
Strategy 4.1: Increase accurate picture of youth risk behaviors related sexual health.
Strategy 4.2: Advocate for policies that allow for data sharing and dissemination.
