WorkWell Missouri Toolkit
Missouri Council for Activity & Nutrition (MOCAN)
Worksite wellness refers to the education and interventions that an employer uses to promote healthy lifestyles to employees. The WorkWell Missouri Toolkit is designed to help an organization assess and improve the wellness policies and practices of its workplace. The WorkWell Missouri Toolkit is comprised of six steps that a worksite can follow to implement a successful wellness initiative and includes resources and assessments to assist with getting started.
Workplace Health PlaybookSM
American Heart Association (AHA)
Based on the latest research, American Heart Association scientists have consolidated key elements of effective workplace health and well-being programs into seven pillars. AHA partnered with leading workplace health expert Dr. Ron Goetzel and his team at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health to outline current best practices within each pillar. In addition, AHA has punctuated this guidance with real world case studies from AHA’s CEO Roundtable companies, and information about Life’s Simple 7, AHA’s prescription for heart health.
Work@HealthTM Training Program
St. Louis Area Business Health Coalition (BHC)
The Work@Health™ training program was developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to enhance employer knowledge of strategies for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of workplace health interventions. The science-based curriculum includes 8 core modules that provide health promotion coordinators, human resource professionals, or managers with skills and tools to implement a comprehensive worksite wellness program. These small group trainings can be arranged at the BHC office or onsite at member company locations.
Total Worker Health® Employer Guide
St. Louis Area Business Health Coalition (BHC)
The Total Worker Health® Employer Guide supports organizations in recognizing modern psychosocial and physical risks that threaten the well-being of employees and provides resources to address these factors through organizational culture, policy, and environmental changes. Topics discussed include: modern safety and occupational hazards; employee autonomy and decision-making on the job; social and team relationships in the workplace; professional development, rewards, and employee recognition; and indoor environment, building, and workspace design.
Passport to Wellness
St. Luke’s Hospital
St. Luke's Passport to Wellness program partners with employers to help identify, address, and eliminate health risks before they result in costly healthcare claims. Services include a workforce health profile and financial analysis; biometric screenings; incentive management portal; wellness coaching; health education sessions; and onsite flu vaccinations and other medical services.
